James facilitated participative sessions with the staff, senior management team, and board of the Maghreb Economic Forum to develop our organisation strategy including our vision, mission, strategic approach, and separate programmatic theories of change, with monitoring and evaluation methodologies. The result was a strategy which has anchored our fundraising and advocacy as we continue to grow.
Dr Amel Karboul, Chief Executive, Maghreb Economic Forum

Whizz-Kidz needed support with our Trust, Statutory and Lottery fundraising and James very quickly took control to ensure we kept a steady flow of quality proposals going out. He played a key role in developing our funding from some of our biggest supporters, including most importantly the Big Lottery Fund. He also provided sound advice, research, and project management as we have reviewed and improved internal processes, including a new theory of change and monitoring and evaluation framework, and on our advocacy activities.
Ruth Owen OBE, Chief Executive, Whizz-Kidz

GrantSmart supported HelpAge International with a bid to the German BMZ for resilience-building in South Sudan, a proposal that required a lot of technical information, and working with an international team of partners - including in-country. Despite some challenges, James managed it all with calm professionalism and I’m delighted to say the bid was successful.
Tony Hopkins, formerly Director of Fundraising (interim) HelpAge International

James provided support on our fundraising, including our trust and foundation income and our major donor funding, very quickly securing us a BBC Radio 4 appeal. He has worked with our partners in the UK and globally to promptly develop high quality proposals, including complex medical detail, and detailed budgets.
Catherine McCarthy, Chief Executive, Medical Aid Films
